This scenic ride has spectacular views and runs along the banks of Lake Maggiore and through the Campo dei Fiori Park. It is also suitable for recreational riders.

The only climb is about 6 miles long with average gradient between 6 and 7 %, and takes you from Val Cuvia through Brinzio to the Motta Rossa Pass. We only encounter slightly busier roads on the last 6 to 7 miles.

We pass two drinking fountains along the way where you can top up your water bottles; the first is in Laveno (in front of the railway station) and the second is near the Cyclists’ Chapel in Brinzio. For riders with a sweet tooth, we recommend stopping at the Colombo patisserie in Comerio to boost your energy levels.
